Devil May Cry 5: 8 Insanely Promising New Features

6. Play To The Music

It's not Devil May Cry without a punchy, metal-infused soundtrack to play along with during a session of stylish demon-slaying. More than anything else, Devil May Cry 5's debut trailer reassured fans that Capcom knows the complementary link between the two, but this time, the music plays along to you.

For the gratuitous guitar riffs to flow and double kick drum pedals to beat, you'll need to perform well in battle to up the tempo. That doesn't mean that combo strings below 'Savage' will return nothing but silence - a steady beat is guaranteed, regardless of performance - but long, uninterrupted combo strings will prompt a more frantic beat to penetrate the eardrums in order to spur the continuation of your balletic-but -deadly performance.

For those unable to play finger gymnastics with a gamepad, the dynamic audio isn't likely to make much of an impact, but it's a smart system that incentivizes smart, varied play rather than spamming the same combo until your fingers bleed.

That is, of course, unless you play without sound.
