Dishonored: 10 Best Villains Of The Series

What little of the Dishonored series' mayhem doesn't have the Lord Regent to blame can, unquestionably, be traced back to the treacherous witch, Delilah Copperspoon. Serving as both a behind-the-scenes puppet master and an outright treasonous menace, Delilah is the closest the series has to a main overarching villain, serving as the primary antagonist in Dishonored's Brigmore Witches DLC and Dishonored 2.

Her origins are deliberately left up to interpretation, but a recurring story is that Delilah was once the daughter of a servant in Dunwall Tower, and a playmate of Jessamine's when they were young. A further theory suggests that Jessamine's father, Euhorn Kaldwin, had an affair with this servant girl, making Delilah Jessamine's half-sister, and the estranged aunt of Emily Kaldwin.

In Brigmore Manor, she attempts to transplant her mind into Emily's body via an enchanted painting, only to be stopped by Daud and imprisoned within the painting herself. Fifteen years later, however, she is brought back through a time-warping ritual, and seeks to claim the throne of Dunwall for herself.

Whether playing as Emily or Corvo, the player can enter another of her paintings and either finish her off for good, or sabotage the ritual so that Delilah is trapped there forever. Perhaps we'll never know whether or not she was telling the truth.
