DMC: 8 Things To Be Excited About

7. Limbo City

limbo city The setting of DMC takes place within the walls of Limbo City and the realm of Limbo as well. What is most fascinating about Limbo city is how we the gamers will interact with there surroundings. The city itself is alive and is hunting down Dante and The Order at every turn. Cameras with eyes pop out, walls block your path, halls stretch forever and the floor beneath you vanishes. All while showing messages that read" this way" or "die dante" to "kill him". The developers have really pushed the envelope in making the city a very life like and living entity. One could argue the city itself is one ginat demon with the sole purpose of killing Dante. The city will be the main hub of the game with Dante exploring different areas such as a factory, circus, club and even the daily raptor news. All of which have their own twist and turns that make different from the rest. Each area has its personality and will react to Dante in a different manner. The city could drop Dante 20 stories or tell him were to go. Ot could also reveal some hidden areas or ty and crush him between two buildings. Where ever you go and no matter how hard you try you will always be amazed at how fast and how stunning the city looks when it literally comes alive as you try to progress. Not only will Limbo City be a major part of the story it is also extremely beautiful in its own right. I know what your saying but hear me out. When Dante walks along the city, it is very bleak and dark which is the kind of feel most other devil may cry games had in some sense or another. But when Dante is dragged into Limbo, it simple looks stunning. Colors pop out, backgrounds light up and even the smallest details look so mesmerizing. Which is all thanks to the developers at Ninja Theory. Anyone who has played their previous games such as Enslaved will be accustomed to their use of colors and light. The developers really put a lot of work into creating such a fascinating world and I must say that they nailed it perfectly. It looks amazing in trailers and cut scenes and I bet it will look much better when the game comes out.
