DOOM Eternal: Ranking EVERY Weapon From Worst To Best
7. Unmaykr
One of the few weapons that didn't come from Doom (2016), the Unmaykr is completely new to Id Software's sequel. And it's a secret, unlockable weapon to boot. Oooh errr.
As a super weapon that serves as an alternative to another super weapon, the Unmaykr sacrifices instant tenderising power for sustained fire with massive damage. Its wide range also means it's quite capable of decimating everything you see on screen, albeit at the cost of chomping through ammo with the gusto of a Mancubus with the munchies.
The catch, then?
It's not worth the price of entry. To unlock, you need to possess all six Slayer Keys, which is only possible after completing at least 3/4's of the game. By that point, you already have a better alternative- although admittedly Doom Guy is quite the discerning connoisseur and collector.
The
handling also leaves something to be desired. Mechanically speaking, the
Unmaykr is nothing unique, just a souped up Plasma Rifle. While this isn't the
worst thing in the world, (or Hell, for that matter) Doom's answer to the
angelic Atom Bomb just doesn't have enough individual flair for a secret,
unlockable God weapon. Good thing the Doom Slayer isn't a weapon snob.
