Dota 2: 10 Most Fun Heroes You Must Play As

5. Clockwerk

With a diminutive stature and a name reminiscent of a techno pop band, it can be easy to look past the tin man battle plan. Don't let these damning features fool you. Clockwerk is one of the best initiators in Dota 2, capable of catching heroes unaware with the incredible range from his ultimate Hookshot skill and trapping them in his Power Cogs. What Clockwerk lacks in flashy bloom effects and size, he makes up with utility. A Clockwerk player may not get 20 kills, but he/she will certainly cause the enemy team plenty of grief. In addition to an ultimate that has up to 3000 range (layman terms: really damn far), his Rocket Flare is a great scouting tool that can be shot anywhere on the map and reveals invisible units. Battery Assault provides much of Clockwerk's damage and a string of mini stuns preventing heroes with Blink Dagger from escaping Clockwerk's cogs. Catching an enemy hero off guard with Hookshot will make them more cautious of where they decide to roam freely. Power Cogs not only traps heroes inside with Clockwerk, but anyone who touches the cogs will be pushed back and lose mana. This allows Clockwerk to create lots of space and counter push when things get hairy. While his skill are all great and a lot of fun, they can also provide unforeseen challenges for your teammates. Power Cogs, like Earthshaker's Fissure, can block the path to enemy heroes or trap allies into inescapable death traps. However, with that relative difficulty, casting all of your skills successfully adds to the awesome power of Clockwerk.
