Dota 2: 10 Heroes That Need A Rework

3. Darkterror The Faceless Void

One of the most overpowered Ultimate Abilities in the entire game belongs to the Faceless Void: the Chronosphere. Void€™s ability to stop time for up to 5 seconds, while himself having a very effective bash allows him to kill multiple heroes with one ultimate. This, coupled with his usual items that include Mask of Madness and at later stages Butterfly, makes Void incredibly dangerous. One possible re-work would have the Chronosphere reduced in length. Six seconds is a long time in Dota 2, especially when everything inside the Chronosphere is unable to move. While it is fair that this ability also stops his allies from moving, that isn€™t usually a big deal in big team fights. Thus, Chronosphere should last for a shorter period of time, or at the very least have some kind of trade-off mechanism. A possible trade-off could be to have Void€™s damage reduced slightly while his Ultimate is in effect, or reduce the chance of his Bash passive of taking place while inside the Chronosphere. While these changes would certainly weaken Void€™s status as a useful initiator, it would at the very least add some more balance to an otherwise one-sided team fight. Because once that blue sphere goes up, everyone inside is at the mercy of a fast-hitting Hero with a 25% chance to stun for one second, while also revealing any invisible units inside. After all, at least games would be more interesting without such a devastating Ultimate Ability, right?
