Dragon Age Inquisition: 16 Weird Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed
5. Scrooge McDuck's Treasure Vault
A feature of Skyhold fortress that not everyone is able to get, upgrading specific perks when increasing Inquisition influence, specifically under Josephine's connections, will get you an enormous coffer full of gold in the strange basement underneath Skyhold's main hall.
It doesn't do anything special so much as represent the amount of money actually flexing the Inquisition's connections will get you, with "Sterling Reputation," "A Favor for a Favor" and "Elite Clientele" all benefiting your profits, which is exceptionally important for people who want to buy and sell important items, or craft their own with expensive and rare materials and schematics. Without the listed perks, this vault doesn't exist at all, only showing up as a wall with a painting.
One of its more amusing features is a seemingly innocuous top hat with a red stripe - a clear reference to the iconic character Scrooge McDuck, the coffer similar to his own vault of gold, which he's often seen diving into and swimming in. Unfortunately, the Inquisitor can't swim in their own vault, only stand in it - clearly a developer oversight.
