Dragon Ball FighterZ: 8 DLC Characters Fans Demand

Much like Broly, I would consider Bardock's inclusion in the game a given. Regardless of the fact that he is the father of the Dragon Ball's protagonist, Son Goku, Bardock has amassed a bit of a cult following amongst the fans. This has led to his inclusion in countless games, as well as being added to the official Dragon Ball manga - even though he was originally a creation of Toei Animation, not Akira Toriyama, made specifically for the anime.

So, unlike Cooler and Janemba, Bardock is definitely canon. He even briefly appeared in Dragon Ball Kai, further solidifying this. What isn't necessarily canon is whether he survived his encounter with Freiza, although that shouldn't impact his inclusion in the game.

Whilst the game does currently feature three playable Gokus, if you count Goku Black, Bardock is so different to Goku in terms of his personality and fighting style that Arc System Works could easily set him apart from his son.

Plus, how fun would it be to have three generations of the same family on a team together? Personally, I would pick Goku, teen Gohan and Bardock for every match if he were to be included.
