Lastly, we come to the mighty Paladin, and the Oath of Conquest. Now when you think of Paladins, you generally think of righteousness, following the lawful ways of the world, and punishing evil. Not so for the Conquest Paladin.

Swearing an Oath of Conquest is to swear to power. To crush your enemies, to subjugate the lands, and to rule unerringly. This class reflects those attirbutes with some truly brutal abilities.

The Conquest Paladin gains spells Command, Hold Person, and Dominate Beast, bending all those who oppose them to their will. Furhtermore, their Channel Divinity offers two options, the first of which provides a whopping +10 to hit on an attack. This ability is ideal for when it becomes essential to land that massive Paladin Smite spell.

The other option is to cause those around you to become afflicted by the Fear condition. This synergizes spectacularly their Aura of Conquest, which reduces Frightened creatures’ speed to zero and deals psychic damage each turn, effectively locking them in place and punishing them for it.

At higher levels, this Paladin becomes truly dreadful, with his scornful rebuke punishing anyone who damages them with psychic damage, capping with a 20th level ability that lets them enjoy 1 minute of being resistant to literally all forms of damage, gaining an extra attack, and doubling the likelihood of a critical strike.

If the thought of being the thing that keeps your foes awake at night in cold sweat appeals to you, suit up, and rule as an Oath of Conquest Paladin.
