Dungeons And Dragons: 10 Best Subclasses You Need To Play!

9. Cleric - Forge Domain

Templar Dungeons and Dragons
From Software

This holy warrior is all about creating. Think of them as a disciple of Hephaestus from Greek mythology. Beyond suddenly becoming proficient with smith’s tools, the Forge Domain comes stacked with mechanical and role-play possibilities.

The Blessing of the Forge immediately gives you the ability to make a weapon or armor magical with +1 to attacks, damage, and armor class. This can be crucial early in the game when magic items are scarce, and certain enemies are resistant to nonmagical attacks.

Furthermore, the Cleric’s Channel Divinity ability, called the Artisan’s Blessing, is incredible. Using raw materials, you can create any mundane object with a value of up to 100 gold using pre-existing metals. Manacles, a key, a ladder, even a boat, all of these can be created with this magical Swiss Army Knife that’s limited only by your imagination.

As your level increases, you’ll gain bonuses to heavy armors as well as resistance to fire damage while being able to deal it out yourself, further flavoring your character as a true child of the flame.
