Dungeons And Dragons: Ranking Every Official 5e Module Worst To Best

12. Princes Of The Apocalypse

Rise Of Tiamat
Wizards Of The Coast

This dungeon-crawling epic will see players go from level 1-15. In it, your group of adventurers will fight four different elemental princes and their cult before they gain power over the realm. To stop them, the group will have to descend into four lethal temples to put an end to the prince’s nefarious deeds.

As mentioned, this module is first and foremost a dungeon crawler. Before you start this adventure, it may be best to check that this is what your players want. If this is what they’re looking for, then they should enjoy themselves. Over the 15 levels, your players will be exploring 13 different dungeons. All but a few represent the elements of earth, air, fire, or water. These each represent the four different elemental princes that you are perusing.

Most of the dungeons have very interesting designs and encounters. The only real problem is that they can become monotonous after a while. With a weak plot hook and poorly written villains, your players may struggle to engage. If your players are looking for a classic dungeon crawler though, they will really enjoy this module.
