2. How To Fail At Your Own Game (2008)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIL_hq5nrB4 We've already seen how awkward E3 can be. We're only just getting started though. The majority of games shown at an E3 conference will have some form of gameplay demo to show just how far along the game is, and whilst it's easy to write these demos off fake (after all, the person on stage could simply be pretending to play along) sometimes a moment comes along which shows just how real E3 can be. Konami's E3 conferences have never really been strong; which is probably a major reason as to why they've stopped doing them. In 2008, the company showcased a game called Rock Revolution; essentially, a Rock Band knock-off. Still, there are worse games to emulate so you can't really blame Konami for trying. You can blame them though for failing to have the game demo'd by people who could actually play it. The poor woman in this video tries her best but she's absolutely awful at the game. What should be a crowd-thrilling run through of the Ramones' Blitzkrieg Bop turns into a horror show of missed notes and virtual crowd boos. The guy next to her is having a wail of a time, thumping along in a near-perfect run, and to his credit when the duo end up failing the song he doesn't throw a rockstar tantrum and quit the band on the spot. You have to feel sorry for the lady though as she meekly returns to the microphone podium, glumly reflecting that she "should have got someone up to play". The rock and roll lifestyle just isn't for everyone.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
