E3: 10 Most Hilarious Moments From Past Conferences

1. Konami's Entire 2010 Press Conference (2010)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6OCnvvkSLM Where do you even begin with this? Konami apparently decided they wanted to be renowned as the most bizarre yet hilarious company around, as nothing else can describe why they went ahead with this. Konami's 2010 Press Conference has now reached legendary status; it would really take a colossal effort from another company to create a more memorable event, in fact games developers should be treating this conference as the almanac of how to successfully showcase games of a variety of genres. How do you promote a new wrestling game? Hire a bunch of masked wrestlers to come on stage and awkwardly slap each other of course. How do you get everybody excited for the latest motion-controlled dance game? Have some guy perform all the dance moves quite badly (awkwardly, the "real-time demo" seems to register everything he's doing as perfect), then give him take a microphone to talk about the game before he gets his breath back. And what do you do after introducing another developer to discuss the latest Silent Hill title? Stand behind him and awkwardly gaze into the back of his skull, of course. Let's move onto the real star of the show though - Tak Fujii, at the time lead producer of Ninety-Nine Nights II. Watch as he confidently strides to the microphone podium, takes a second (or five) to compose his thoughts, clears his throat and introduces himself to the world with an earth-shattering "Hi". Be astounded as he clearly forgets his rehearsed speech, instead relying on pointing and waving at the screen to introduce the title of his own game. Be amazed as he introduces the key features of Ninety-Nine Nights II, like the inclusion of over "one million trooooooooooooops". To paraphrase the great man himself; "Wooooow." Tak tops his own speech off with a cheeky "Love you guys" which, in his pretty awful English, sounds rather threatening. In a way, he summarises this event far better than words could ever; bizarre and awkward yet stupidly funny. We'd give anything to see Konami return with a regular event at E3; as at the very least you'd be guaranteed some entertainment. What were your favourite moments from past shows? Is there anything that can go wrong this year you're kind of looking forward to seeing? Let us know in the comments!

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
