4. Jamie Kennedy (2007)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfzThMe7bBM As we've seen previously, hiring a guest host to present your conference can backfire dramatically. While Ubisoft have persevered, bigger companies have fallen by the wayside, and they don't get much bigger than Activision. For their 2007 conference, they recruited comedian Jamie Kennedy to front their event and presumably fed him nothing but alcohol before shoving him onto the stage and expecting comedy gold. It didn't happen. Not only was Mr. Kennedy quite clearly wasted, he also showed next to no understanding of the video game world at all. During an interview with Neversoft to promote Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, he constantly tried to link the developer's name to Viagra, failing to realise that it simply wasn't funny. The remainder of his jokes mainly hinged on insulting video game fans (always a great method of connecting with the fanbase) and his opening segment concluded with an all too telling "Where are my jokes?" We were wondering the same thing, Jamie. So why is this section of E3 history so hilarious? Well, we all enjoy watching comedians bomb hard, but it's even better hearing a heckle that completely tears them apart. One (English) developer was mocked for his nationality, leading him to fire back at Jamie. The crowd laughed along and Jamie remarked how the crowd was supposed to be on his side because they were all American. Cue one audience member (who'd presumably had enough) shouting "He's funnier than you!" to get the biggest laugh of the conference, and Jamie's reply being a weak "well, you never get out of the house..." Confidence destroyed. Whoever it was that brought Jamie Kennedy crashing down to Earth, we salute you.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
