E3 2014: 7 Reasons To Pay Attention This Year

7. All The Major Announcements Are Upfront

E3 is a week-long event, showcasing dozens of games and products. But for most people, the biggest and most important part of E3 is seeing the reveals during the Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony press conferences. That€™s when the big budget, visually and technically impressive titles have their chance to wow people and convince them that a new console is worth the money. But people€™s time is limited, so watching a string of press conferences across several days is incredibly inconvenient. Thankfully, this year€™s E3 will put all of the live press conferences on one day - June 9 - where you can see every one except Nintendo€™s (it's on the 10th) in a row, with two and a half to three hour gaps between them. So here€™s the complete line up, with the common western broadcast/streaming times: Microsoft €“ June 9, 9:30 AM PST / 12:30 PM EST / 5.30PM GMT EA €“ June 9, 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST / 8 PM GMT Ubisoft €“ June 9, 3 PM PST / 6 PM EST / 11 PM GMT Sony €“ June 9, 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST / 2AM GMT Nintendo (Digital Event) €“ June 10, 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM GMT While the timing might be awkward for non-American viewers, having almost everything on one day makes it easy to take a day off to absorb everything on offer.
