Of course it wouldn't be an E3 build-up without some Elder Scrolls-related news, would it? But while you may be hoping to see news of The Elder Scrolls VI appearing at the conference this year, something far crazier may be on the horizon.

Okay, so a video game remaster these days isn't exactly insane news. But given that Bethesda don't have a history of remaking their old games, no matter how successful they were, this would be a very surprising move. The news of a Skyrim remaster started out as speculative, but this week an online retailer has listed a so-called 'Definitive Edition' of the game for new generation consoles.

While this could easily be a falsity or a hoax, it's certainly starting to look more and more like Bethesda's masterpiece could be making its way to the updated systems. Since the only way to enjoy Elder Scrolls action on these systems is currently Elder Scrolls Online, a chance to revisit the immense plains and superb story of Skryim would be far too enticing to pass up.
