E3 2016: 10 Things We Learned From Titanfall 2's Single Player Trailer
8. Titans Are Way More Agile This Time
If you can cast your minds back to 2013, you'll remember that there were three different classes of mech in Titanfall. There were the big heavy-hitters who were slow and cumbersome, the middleweights that could do a little bit of everything, and the featherweights who could nip about everywhere at the expense of a low health-bar. That system looks set to return this time around too, but all these mechs are busting some pretty agile moves - more-so than their forebears.
In this trailer alone we see mechs tackling each other, pounding metal, and even fighting with big electricity-infused swords. That's pretty cool no matter what way you look at it, and if I'm correct in thinking it definitely looks like battles will be layered, infantry and mech-based. That same dynamic infantry-to-mech based gameplay from the last title will likely be making its way to the campaign mode as well, as I imagine switching on the fly between your mech and assault rifle will be a necessary component of missions.
To be honest, the main thing I'm looking forward to are those swords. I mean did you see them? Electricity and everything. That's pretty sweet.
