2. Ever Oasis Is Nintendo's Big New IP

Nintendo stated ahead of day 2's livestream that they would be dropping a previously unheard of 3DS game, and it turned out to be an action RPG by the name of Ever Oasis.

Directed by Secret of Mana helmer Koichi Ishii, the game largely takes place in a vast desert, with gameplay focused around exploring dungeons, solving puzzles and battling anyone who stands in your party's way.

The plot meanwhile revolves around protagonist Tethu, who attempts to build a village community in the desert as he heads off to find his long lost brother.

Sure, it wasn't the new Metroid title (that isn't Federation Force, of course) fans were hoping for, but it looks like a terrific RPG all the same, so don't get too mad.
