E3 2017: 10 Major Reveals & Announcements We Need To See
5. Smash Bros. On Nintendo Switch
The Smash series follows a mash-up of Nintendo characters from all their IPs, as well as characters from other famous companies (like Sonic or Solid Snake), and is often accompanied with a storyline that manages to set all these characters against each other (the only one to not have one to accompany it was the latest entry in the series, released for both the 3DS and the Wii U; Super Smash Bros. 4).
The Nintendo community has been clamouring for a Smash game on the Switch, as the idea of a portable fighting game featuring people's favourite childhood characters appeals to almost everyone, especially as a new Smash game has been teased multiple times since the announcement of the Switch.
Nintendo has been criticised by many for missing out on a golden opportunity to have a new Smash Bros. released at launch, but maybe they've been waiting for E3 to show off the IP fans have been waiting for.
