E3 2017: 22 Jaw-Dropping Video Game Reveals You Need To Know About

3. A Way Out

Created by Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons' Josef Fares, A Way Out is like some modern take on the age-old PS2 exploration game, Prisoner of War, yet with a truly unique twist: It's ONLY playable in co-op.

Going online is an option, but Fares really wants you to grab a friend and go on an epic cinema-sized adventure together. The aim of the game is to break out of prison and most likely flee the country, but the forced co-op idea factors into cutscenes and interactions, too. When one character is in the former, another can explore or interfere, for example, somewhat changing the very notion of how we approach third-person action games.

Brothers remains ones of the most uniquely-playing games in history (two analogue sticks = two characters' movements), and it'll be very interesting to see what else Josef brings to the table next year.
