E3 2017: 22 Jaw-Dropping Video Game Reveals You Need To Know About

20. Metro Exodus

Speaking of games that came out nowhere, the Metro series has always remained on the backburner, forever playing second fiddle to other post-apocalyptic exploration titles like Fallout.

No more (hopefully anyway), as Exodus fronted Microsoft's conference, showing off a stunning section that was apparently all in-engine. Our character was seen tackling a demonic underground mutant rat before fighting a bear on the surface and zip-lining to safety, all at a glorious 4K and 60 frames per second.

We'll have to wait and see whether the Metro franchise's recognisably dour atmosphere is also present, but as a sheer jaw-dropping tech demo, this single-handedly proved the new Xbox One X really is the world's most powerful console.
