E3 2018: 10 Most Believable Rumours (That Won't Happen)

2. There'll Be No Death Stranding Gameplay Demo

Unlike most video games, fans have known about Death Stranding pretty much since its conception. As soon as the deal between Kojima Productions and Sony had been signed on the dotted line, the studio's next project has been shown off at every given opportunity - even before the team had decided on which engine they were going to use.

Consequently, even though it was announced years ago, the actual release date of the project is still going to be a ways off yet. Despite that, rumours have suggested that a full gameplay reveal is imminent, as Sony surely can't continue to show CG trailers and expect the hype to keep riding high.

However, from what Sony have said about their conference so far, they're going to be focusing primarily on deep dives into already-announced titles, showing off extensive gameplay demos of their exclusives.

All we know so far about Death Stranding is that Kojima has been working on a new trailer, which points towards him not having any gameplay demos up and running for the show. Sure, he could be planning to drop a chunk of gameplay as well as a trailer, but considering how far off the game actually is, that's probably not likely.
