4. Borderlands 3 Won't Be Mentioned

Every single year, the same question seems to be on the mind of every first-person shooter fan: where the hell is Borderlands 3? It's been years since the second game hit shelves, with Gearbox insisting that a new title is in active development, yet keeping quiet about when fans will actually get to see the project in action.

Consequently, every E3 is labelled the E3 where the game will be shown off, but so far it's never materialised. Rumours once again began circulating in the run up to this year's event, but it's becoming apparent that the anticipated sequel probably won't be showing up.

Though it hasn't been confirmed, the franchise's publisher 2K announced to stockholders that one of their major series had suffered a delay that had pushed a release out of this fiscal year, which many have assumed to be Borderlands 3. If that's true, then they're clearly not ready to talk about it yet, and it could mean it's been bumped entirely from their E3 plans.
