It's a little strange for fans to not know what From Software are up to. Their past few games came out in rapid succession, but since the release of Dark Souls III, the studio has seemingly endeavoured to break away from the formula they've become famous for, teasing a new project that's allegedly not tied to any Souls-related games.

Releasing a teaser dubbed "Shadows Die Twice", fans have attempted to figure out just what the team have been crafting, and all signs seem to point towards Tenchu. Consequently, after two years away from the limelight, the studio could be gearing up to reveal a new incarnation of the Playstation franchise on Sony's stage.

That said, fans shouldn't rule out the chances of seeing Bloodborne 2 come June as well. From are clearly working on a different project, but that doesn't mean that part of the team isn't collaborating with Sony's Japan Studio on this anticipated sequel.

Though it's From's baby, they weren't the only devs who worked on the original, and Sony's own studio could have picked up the sequel in their absence.
