E3 2018: 15 Announcements You Probably Missed
7. FIFA 19 On Switch Actually Lets You Play Online With Friends
In addition to being a little rough on the technical side, the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18 was widely criticised for only allowing random matchmaking and not permitting players to compete online with their friends.
Well, EA still hasn't explained that decision, but they did at least confirm that FIFA 19 will rectify this problem by allowing players to battle anyone on their friends list. EA said players can "track [their] rivalry through a five-match season, both in FIFA and FIFA Ultimate Team."
It's embarrassing this is even considered an improvement, but all the same, it'll probably ensure FIFA 19 enjoys a healthy sales boost over its rough-around-the-edges predecessor.
