E3 2018: Fallout 76 - 7 Reasons Why It's A Huge Mistake

1. The Nukes Are Going To Get Boring

Online worlds live and die on their community. Give them more tools to mess with their fellow players and things can get pretty bad fairly quickly.

Players of GTA Online won't need reminding of the fact that the open lobbies are populated by people using military grade aircraft to torment those in the middle of missions, and with 76 now giving people the chance to nuke their neighbours into oblivion, it's easy to see how it could all go south.

Fortunate, perhaps, is the fact that there will be private lobbies, but for those determined to risk it in the open world of the game's public sessions, nuclear catastrophe could just be around the corner. It's easy to see how this could force certain players into avoiding the whole thing altogether, which seems antithetical to the wider idea of getting the Fallout community to interact with each other in West Virginia.

That might just be how the game plays, but for those after a slightly less stressful experience, closed sessions will be the way to go.
