E3 2019: 10 Most Disappointing Video Game No-Shows
1. Harry Potter: Magic Awakened
Last year a video appeared on YouTube of a purported Harry Potter game in the works at Warner Bros. Kotaku confirmed the leak as true, and that we are indeed going to get a huge Harry Potter RPG at some point. Warner Bros. also took the video down, further cementing its validity.
The leaked video showed Hogwarts and the nearby town of Hogsmeade, as well as lots of magic, character creation, some fantastic beasts, and much more. For a crappy quality video, it looked fantastic and got Potter fans worldwide excited for the game they didn't know they needed.
More importantly, the game looked quite far along in development. It was big and polished, implying that it wasn't far off completion. So a full reveal at E3 2019 didn't just seem possible but almost certain. Alas, it was not meant to be.
Why the game didn't show-up is unclear, but a 2019 reveal still seems highly likely, whether it's at The Game Awards, PSX, or elsewhere.
Now, whether or not it's coming out next year or will be a next-generation title is as mysterious as the forbidden forest. Which, coincidentally, is also in the game.
