E3 2019: 10 Most Disappointing Video Game No-Shows
9. Fallout On Switch
Last year, Amazon - not Walmart Canada - listed a few different Bethesda titles for a "December 31, 2019" release. Now, that release date is always just a placeholder, so we weren't expecting any titles to actually release on New Year's Eve. However one of the listings was for Nintendo Switch and accompanied by a 12 second video of a film reel countdown, in a typical Fallout style.
This got everyone wondering if we were about to get Fallout 3 on the Switch. Well that was a while ago, and now we've had a press conference from Bethesda and the big Nintendo Direct, and we haven't heard zip about a remaster of the classic RPG.
Fallout on the Nintendo Switch makes so much sense that it seems inevitable; Skyrim was launched on the system and sold incredibly well, as did Doom, Wolfenstein II, and more is on the way. Of course we did get Fallout Shelter, but not having a mainline Fallout represents a rather glaring hole in the Switch/Bethesda relationship.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas could obviously run on the Switch, heck even Fallout 4 would work if The Witcher 3 can, so what's the hold up?
Hopefully it's just a matter of time.
