8. Baldur's Gate III
For many, Baldur's Gate was the RPG of choice when growing up.
Spanning multiple generations and leaping from the 90s PC originals to a brief flirtation across home consoles with Dark Alliance 1 & 2, the beloved series has mostly existed as a couple of remasters since 2012. That was... until Divinity Original Sin developers Larian Games updated their website to include the above image.
The go-to assumption would be another Divinity game; the final part in the studio's excellent pen n' paper-style RPG trilogy.
However, once dataminers pulled apart the website to look at its code, they found this:
Now, it's pretty clear that such an obviously-named file is bait (Larian know the state of the world, and that people would datamine a mysterious logo), but why would a studio known for RPGs fairly similar to Baldur's Gate tease such an obvious thing?
At time of writing, Larian are refusing to comment until the show, which only makes things more exciting.
