E3 2019: 12 Insane Announcements That Could Happen
9. Ken Levine's Next Game Is Announced
Ken Levine is the Creative Director and all-around genius who envisioned and crafted the Bioshock trilogy, as well as worked on System Shock and Thief. His work has changed the industry forever, but he hasn't put out a game since Bioshock Infinite in 2013.
After Levine left Irrational Games and 2K, he created his own video game studio called Ghost Story Games. Levine was disillusioned with the game industry and how big games were getting, so he wanted to make something smaller and quicker.
Well, it's been five years.
While we don't know much, we do know he's trying to create something quite unique. He's talked about his love for story and how much he wants to craft something that players don't just abandon after a weekend. Levine has also talked about making a game that's more challenging than Bioshock, and the studio has hired people with FPS experience.
Creating a story-driven game with FPS elements, and can be played multiple times is no easy feat., and that's probably why it's taken so long. It's an ambitious goal but if anyone can pull it off, it's Levine. This game is even more mysterious than Death Stranding, but we should find out what it is very soon.
