As you might have noticed, a good chunk of the rumours so far have surrounded Microsoft's conference, and that's because E3 is pretty much theirs for the taking. Not only are they getting ready to transition into the next generation after soft-announcing it last year, but the lack of Sony at the event pretty much means they're expected to grab the limelight and milk it for all it's worth.

And, by the looks of things, that's exactly what they're going to do. Not only will they be announcing a bunch of new games and diving into mysterious exclusives like Halo: Infinite, but their conference is allegedly going to end with a glimpse at their next console. While they might not have any hardware to show off just yet (the most recent leaks suggest both the next Xbox and PS5 will be releasing late next year), they could show some of the games that will be releasing on the new console.

This E3 will be the first glimpse players get at what next-gen games could look like - much in the way Watch Dogs ushered in the next generation before the platforms it was on were even announced - and it wouldn't be a shock if Microsoft ended their showing by saying that everything you've just seen will be playable on their next machine.
