7. The Halo Master Chief Collection Will Consume Your Soul

Halo is a tricky franchise to dive into. If you skipped out on the first or second one and want to invest yourself in the story, good luck. These games are weirdly complicated and have a broad scope of events that are hard to grasp if you come in during the middle. Even if a gamer wanted to go back and play all the titles they'd need to bust out either their Xbox 360 and original Xbox to play the major entries in the franchise, and if the idea is to move to a new generation of hardware, forcing your consumer base to unearth their old stuff is a good way to lose their attention. So thank God for the Halo Master Chief Collection, which includes Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4, all for the Xbox One in one package; with Halo 2 being completely remastered, as well as a bunch of other bells and whistles, including access to the Halo 5 multiplayer Beta. It's okay, take a sec to catch your breath. While details on how much this collection will cost have yet to materialise, if it chimes in at the typical $59.99 price point, you have yourself the value of a lifetime, and four classic games to play on your The Xbox One that'll keep you busy for years.
