3. Deeper Career Mode

Career Modes are an obvious carrot to dangle in front of video game enthusiasts, but with the advent of online play over the past number of years there was a danger developers would move away from them. A core single player experience is often essential to a UFC game, because who doesn't want to take their own self-made fighter from zero to hero and eventually capture championships?

Of course, EA SPORTS UFC offered players the chance to do this, but improvements have been made to the new game which should be considered exciting. One enticing feature is the idea of including rivalries between fighters that develop over time. These will play out naturally. Perhaps your fighter defeated someone with a higher ranking early in their career, and then that character gets the chance at revenge by challenging for the player's title later on down the road.

It's little ideas like that which add context and depth to things in the Career Mode. They also put more importance on the concept of training camps, which are tweaked this time around to include a threat of injury if training incorrectly. EA SPORTS are shouting from the rooftops about 'Career Defining Moments', ones which make each career individually interesting. It's good to see the developers are still spending time improving the single playing aspects of their games.
