2. UFC Ultimate Team

It's a good thing that EA SPORTS have been taking the time to improve the Career Mode, because it's joined by another big feature in UFC 2. Fans of the FIFA series instantly recognise the concept of Ultimate Team. At its core, it takes card-based gaming and combines it with the actual playing of football matches. The idea is to successfully build a squad that works well together, although most players just want the star names!

EA SPORTS UFC 2 hopes to make Ultimate Team very much part of the furniture straight away, although EA are keen to point out that there are some little changes to help the feature bed into the UFC franchise. Of course, it could never be the same as other sports games like FIFA or Madden, because MMA doesn't have fighters in different 'positions'. What it does have however, is different weight classes.

In the beginning, gamers will create a team of 5 fighters across 4 of the different weight classes. From there, it's all about fighting to earn coins and UFC Points to then spend on Fight Packs. It's very much the same idea, but Ultimate Team has shown itself to be immensely popular in EA's other sports franchises. Now, MMA fans don't need to look on with jealousy.
