EA UFC 4: 10 Things We Want To See
3. Doctor's Stoppages
Now, this may seem like a minor addition to the game, but anyone who saw UFC 244 can attest to just how pivotal the intervention of a doctor can be on the outcome of a fight.
When Nate Diaz was ruled unable to continue in his BMF title fight against Jorge Masvidal, it was the cage-side doctor who judged the Stockon native unable to continue due to the large cut he had sustained in the third round.
Again this is a feature that while absent from the EA iterations of the UFC video games series was present in the THQ produced UFC Undisputed 3.
If EA wants to earn extra plaudits for realism in their next UFC game, adding a wider variety of fight-ending scenarios such as doctor's stoppages and corner stoppages would be a great place to start, and would diversify the potential outcomes of a fight and make gameplay more interesting and unpredictable as a result.
