Elder Scrolls 6: 10 Features It MUST Have
7. Larger Cities
The locations of Skyrim, for the time, were very impressive and immersive. There is a lot going on, bustling markets, patrolling guards, NPCs chatting in the street. The only issue is that they were not very big. The largest city, Solitude, only has around ten residences in the whole city (not counting shops). And this is supposed to be the Imperial Capital of Skyrim?
The cities were different enough in terms of architecture, lore, and feel, but none of them felt truly massive.
The game was released in 2011, and thus could be seen to have suffered from the hardware constraints at the time, but there were games released in the same year (Infamous 2, Batman Arkham City) which had much bigger cities. Even Oblivion’s Imperial City felt bigger in scale and populace than any of the cities in Skyrim.
So, in Elder Scrolls 6, with much advanced hardware and better development capabilities, we should expect to see truly massive cities. And hopefully not just one. If one of my previously mentioned wishes for the game comes true we might have multiple huge cities in different continents, each with a different look and feel.
