Pirates are very much in again. With Skull and Bones, Sea of Thieves and pirate-based shenanigans set to join Kingdom Hearts, everyone's favourite sea-fairing thieves are experiencing a mini resurgence of sorts, and with Tamriel having its own pirate-esque locale to explore, it's one that could yet influence the next Elder Scrolls.

Opposite High Rock is Hammerfell, a mountainous desert area populated by the Redguards. Renowned for their skills in combat, Redguard and High Rock have come into conflict with each other on numerous occasions - a premise that could serve as the backdrop to the Elder Scrolls VI.

Fans of Skyrim in particular will remember the Redguards during the 'In My Time of Need" side quest, where a Redguard fugitive - later revealed to be a traitor who sold the country out to the Aldmeri Dominion - is tracked down by a group of Redguard mercenaries. That alone presents a really interesting idea for an Elder Scrolls game, and if players could move between High Rock and Hammerfell at their will, then there'd be two standout settings to explore already.
