Elder Scrolls: Every Daedra Lord RANKED From Worst To Best

12. Meridia

Meridia is Daedric Prince of Life, also known as 'the Lady of Infinite Energies.' They were the Patron of the Ayleids (if that lore is your jam, Oblivion is the title for you). All in all, Meridia, like a number of Daedra, is murky, which is ironic for a being associated with Light.

Their Skyrim artefact - 'Dawnbreaker' - is rather good, but the decidedly less exciting 'Ring of Khajiit' from other titles somewhat diminishes the boost in the rankings Meridia would otherwise have received in terms of actual usefulness.

With a sort of aristocratic imperiousness towards lowly abominations such as the undead, Meridia has some excellent characterisation, and more to the point, it feels appropriate; of course a lord should seem lordly!

Yet, despite this strength, there is still someone oddly pedestrian about Meridia, simply by virtue of being opposed to all the necromancy and odd ritualistic magics that the other Daedra seem to indulge in.

It's almost as if Meridia is the resident buzzkill (Jyggalag notwithstanding).
