Every 2020 Video Game Delayed Into 2021
3. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is developed by Hardsuit Labs, Inc. and is a action role playing game that allows players to play a recently revived vampire. A sequel to a game of the same name that released in 2004, it's been a long wait for fans of the series. But they're going to have to wait just a little bit longer.
The game has now been delayed to some point in 2021, likely impacted by the pandemic. However in a tweet sent out by the game's official Twitter account it is explained that the bar of quality has been set extremely high, and they don't want to rush the game out. Pretty standard stuff. A bit more cryptic however, is in the later half of the tweet, where organisational changes are mentioned, but these changes aren't specified.
This was unclear until just a few days ago, when it was announced that the creative director, Martin Cluney, and the original game's author, Brian Mitsoda had actually been dropped from the project. They have been replaced by Alexandre Mandryka, who is responsible for games such as Assassin's Creed and Rainbow Six: Vegas.
Suffice to say, Martin Cluney and Brian Mitsoda have come out to voice their disappointment in their firing.
