9. Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis: The Action Game

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis has a plot that would do rather well on the big screen, with Indiana Jones out to discover the lost city of Atlantis following an encounter with a mysterious undercover Nazi operative. Cue a chase through Monte Carlo, a secret naval base and the hidden city itself, where evil forces are out to use the power hidden within to create a devastating new weapon. Again.

This adventure plays out in an isometric perspective with an action heavy focus and a rather typical inventory system. Much like the Last Crusade Action Game, it was also one of two games released under the same title, featuring a brand new story that wouldn't have felt out of place on the big screen. It's also known for being one of the very few Indy experiences that allows you to control a different character other than the titular hero, that being a newly created sidekick in Sophia. It also branched out slightly with the ability to gamble at a casino and throw darts, if you felt the need.

Come to think of it, why isn't this a movie? Someone get on that!

Born in Ireland and raised in Australia, Mark still wishes his Tetris and Mario Kart skills could translate to the real world more than just writing about games for nearly 20 years. Still, can't complain.
