A full remake of one of the most revered PlayStation games of all time, the upcoming release of Shadow of the Colossus for PS4 is touting itself as being a loving recreation of an old classic.

And while fans of the title will no doubt be looking forward to it just as an excuse to go back through one of their favourite games, there's space here for the remake to be even better than the original. There's scope to improve on the wonky controls of the original release and make them much smoother in this update, with small changes like this having the potential to turn an already great game into a perfect one.

Also it's coming from Bluepoint Games, a team who have proven with their remasters of the Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid franchises that they have what it takes to update classic releases for a new generation.
