If the original Knack wasn't a launch title, it probably wouldn't have received as much flack as it did back in 2013. Sure, it's not great, but is at times an enjoyable platformer that had more charm and personality than most gave it credit for.

So yeah, the low-key announcement and lack of promotion so far doesn't exactly bode well for Knack 2, but the sequel can only improve on the first game's genuinely solid foundation.

There's a good idea at the centre of Mark Cerny's quirky platformer, and there's a solid chance that it could surprise a lot of players when it drops at the end of the year.
