Every Mass Effect 2 Loyalty Mission - Ranked

Jack is another character with a truly fascinating backstory. Experimented on by Cerberus since birth, raised in a place more akin to a prison slash fighting pit than a shelter. Returning to the scene of this horror is obviously emotional for her.

The only emotion Jack usually displays willingly is blood boiling rage, but we see deep seated aguish run through her veins here too. Revisiting her past is like salting old wounds, and the setting itself has some tense, gothic vibes.

We’re at the stage now where eight missions feel worthy of the top five, and Jack misses out for a few reasons. Her recruitment mission is a bit meatier, and simply taking time to talk to her on the Normandy uncovers more of her backstory anyway. While the mission is enjoyable, if you take away the personal connection to Jack, the gameplay isn’t all that different from several other exploration missions across the franchise.

There’s also the fact that compared to her return in Mass Effect 3 (and her recruitment mission earlier), this is probably her worst outing. This mission also throws a spanner in the works when it and a certain other mission are completed...
