Doing so is not easy, as bloodthirsty creatures lurk around every corner; from the t-virus infused zombie to the nasty chimera, the gallery of monsters seen in the franchise's debut title are certainly unnerving to this day. The anxiety was also enhanced by the limited number of resources and ink ribbons for saving the game
It was a groundbreaking title for the time, but almost twenty-four years after its release, it does show its age. The dialogue, while capably amusing for 1996, stands out more for its awful writing and direction nowadays.
With all the progress the series has made since then, there isn't much reason to go back to to the first game in the series other than nostalgic replays. While multiple endings are offered, you're better off going with the far superior GameCube remake.
