EVERY Resident Evil Game Ranked Worst To Best

23. Resident Evil: Dead Aim

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Nemesis
Capcom

Dropping the Survivor label and going with a more simple title, Dead Aim was the third and final entry in the developer's short-lived experiment. Capcom wouldn't go back to the first person perspective again for four years. Taking place four years after the Racoon City incident, the Umbrella cruise ship Spencer Rain has been infested with the T-Virus. The disgruntled Umbrella executive Morpheus D. Duvall threatens the world with virus-infused ballistic missiles. It's up to government operatives Bruce McGivern and Fong Ling to put a stop to his plan.

Alternating between first and third person action, Dead Aim felt more engaging and free-flowing than its predecessors. It also stood out for telling an original story for the series. While Dead Aim may be the best of Resident Evil's original FPS trilogy, it's still aggressively mediocre, not offering much when compared to contemporaries at the time. Just about everything you'll see is a step up from both Survivor and Survivor 2, but it's still far away from greatness. The fact that it came out a year after Resident Evil Remake and Zero also made it feel . With far superior games released both before and after 2003, you're better off avoiding this one.
