As with most video game sports franchises, NBA 2K has a stubborn rival competitor, in this case, EA's NBA Live. The two compete over the B-ball game market on a regular annual basis.

This series holds the majority favour though, due to its near photo-realistic graphics and variety of modes and players. Still, the high peak of NBA 2K16 has still yet to be beaten for the series, but let's see if this year they can get it close.
