Fallout 3 Anniversary Edition: 9 Longstanding Issues Bethesda Must Fix

2. The Intro Needs To Be Skippable

Fallout 3's opening hour is a pretty damn great introduction to the world and characters, with the extended tutorial being essential for first-time players, allowing them to get to grips with the controls and systems in the comfort of Vault 101. On every other playthrough though, it's an absolute slog.

Once you already understand how the game works, having to play through your formative years literally from birth over and over again before you can get to the real bulk of the game is more of a obligatory roadblock that everyone wants to skip. The only way around it is to save just before you exit the vault, but frankly that's a workaround that shouldn't have to be there.

While a lot of players will no doubt want the full Fallout 3 experience on their trip down memory lane, there should be an option for those who've played it to death to just jump straight into the action.
