Fallout 4: 10 Best Fan-Demands That Must Be Included
4. A New Setting
So far, for a franchise dealing in total global annihilation, we've not been outside the U.S. to see the effects of this on the rest of the world. It's obviously fun and interesting to watch the remnants of American society come back as humanity rebuilds, but as the Metro series has shown beautifully, doing the same to other countries steeped in cultural values, political ideologies and even religious overtones can be much more effective. Would places like China or India still retain their cultural heritage if they were starting anew? Would a devastated England resort to looser gun control - and what would that mean for the populace? As soon as you start applying the desolate and war-torn themes of Fallout to places outside the U.S. (as America as a setting has been done to death) it opens up some great potential to tell a much more meaningful tale.
