Not too long ago, as the rumour mill was greasing it's gears, there was a semi convincing tidbit doing the rounds that stasis chambers would feature in Fallout 4's plot. A lot of people wrote it off, but it gained traction nonetheless. The general idea was that Fallout 4's Vault (which we now know as Vault 111) is the same as any other - a giant underground bunker. But 111's Vault-Tec experiment was in cryogenics. As the bombs began to fall, people would pile into the vault and rush straight to their very own stasis chamber, where they would enter cryogenic sleep and not wake up until the start of the main story events. It seemed a little far-fetched but it was hardly 'out there' for the Fallout franchise. Given what we know about Vault 112 being fully operational 200 years after the bombs fell - stasis chambers are starting to seem like a real possibility.
