Fallout 4: 10 Biggest WTF Moments From The E3 Demo

6. A Completely Voiced Female Lead

When Bethesda's initial reveal gave us a glimmer of a fully voiced male protagonist, it suddenly dawned on us that€”due to the Herculean task of voicing a protagonist in a game of such scale€”we might not be able to play as a fully voiced female, or even as a female at all. This fear was exacerbated somewhat by the opening of Bethesda's E3 showcase, which featured our male protagonist heavily during the demo's character creation segment. The whole scene appeared to be constructed around the male lead, with our protagonist's wife hanging about in the background. It was of course at that moment when Bethesda decided to nonchalantly add that you can play as a female too; the female in question was the wife of the leading couple, who casually steps into the fore when selected as if to say, "What? You actually thought we weren't going to have a female player character?".
